Sante Barley TriTeam spots 1st Place in Apollo Petroleum Jelly TRI 2020

Conquering Apollo, Going for More. Santé Barley Triteam, the official triathlon team of Santé, a provider of premier organic health and wellness products and services, bagged the top spot at the Apollo Petroleum Jelly TRI 2020 last February 23, 2020 at the country’s triathlon capital, Subic Bay Freeport Zone.

 

The Apollo Petroleum Jelly TRI 2020 served as the season opener for Bike King Races, and it showcased two racecourses, standard distance (1.5km swim – 40km bike – 10km run) and sprint distance (750m swimming – 20km bike – 5km run), which coursed through the waters of Acea Subic Bay to Argonaut Highway and lastly, the four-loop run course towards All Hands Beach.

 

The event awarded medals, trophies, and gift packs for the winners in the individual and relay categories, which both had sub-categories, such as the all-men, all-women, and mixed team.

 

The Santé Barley Triteam raced against other teams and bagged 1st place for the mixed team category. The team also bagged finishes for the individual categories, including Ian Banzon (1st Place – all-women, 30-34 age group category), Robinson Esteves (1st Place – all-men, 30-34 age group), Kath Lagunsad (1st Place – all-women, 25-29 age group), Jet Ramos (2nd Place – all men, 35-39 age group), and Jefferson Valdez (2nd Place – all-men, 40-44 age group).

 

Santé CEO Joey Marcelo, a triathlon enthusiast and an Ironman finisher himself, created the team in 2012 in line with the company’s mission to help people lead healthier lives so they can live more and do more. To date, Santé Barley Triteam is comprised of over 30 kick-ass triathletes.
